In the 24/7 news cycle era that we’re living in it’s so easy to doomscroll social media late at night, which is a little like wanting to eat that whole, big juicy pizza pie, even though in the back of your mind you know if you do you’re probably going to be sick.

He’s had a lot of amazing life experiences that have informed his career path, like selling everything he owned and riding his bike across Africa. It’s part of what made him a possibilitarian—someone who advocates for intentionally having a raised awareness to bring positive energy to your life, health, and social interactions. Work Smarter, Not Harder with Laura Roeder
When your market is small businesses, there will always be customers for you if you’re solving a problem. It’s not a winner take all scenario. These are wise words from today’s guest, Laura Roeder. Laura taught herself how to build websites in junior high, then in her early 20’s, she noticed that entrepreneurs wasted a lot of time doing tasks that can be handled by good software. She went on to start up MeetEdgar, an awesome tool for social media scheduling and content management that I am a big fan of.
With so many ventures going on in her life, Laura has some wisdom to impart about time management. Her latest venture, Paperbell, was born of finding a niche that no one else was filling—it’s a tool for online coaches to manage their contracts, scheduling, payments, and organize their business. I’m just so impressed with all that Laura has been able to accomplish, and I think you’re going to find her insights really refreshing and inspiring. So without any further ado, on with the show!

Go Big or Go Home with Jeff Hoffman
When Leonard Nimoy edges William Shatner out as the new guy to be the voice of the company… It was one of my favorite spots for the incredibly successful travel site, Priceline, which my guest Jeff Hoffman helped build from the ground up. When the unknown startup managed to land Shatner, it started out as a coup for them, but after the wild success of Priceline, it turned out to be a huge coup for Shatner and it set the stage for startups to offer shares to land celebrity spokespeople. How’s that for brilliant dealmaking!
Jeff Hoffman has founded multiple startups–he is also a published author and Hollywood film producer. Jeff intentionally got involved in the entertainment industry to learn the Hollywood marketing strategies that intrigued him.
In today’s episode, we delve into what he learned from Hollywood—one of the winning formulas was starting at the end with what emotional response you want to get from your marketing, and then establishing the action you want the visitor to take right at that moment. We also talk about the power of responsibility, the reward of taking long shots, the power of having a generous mentor, being a mentor yourself…it’s such an inspiring interview, so without any further ado, let’s get into it!
The Science of Face Masks with Lee Weinstein
Remember when the Diamond Princess
cruise ship was docked with a literal boatload of people getting infected with coronavirus? That gave MIT scientist Lee Weinstein clues as to how this virus, obviously airborne, was getting to people who were closed off in their cabins. Lee is my guest today, a brilliant guy I first encountered when I researched the connection between sleep and TMJ disorders and discovered the biofeedback headband he invented which trains people out of clenching and grinding their teeth in their sleep. Lee has been awarded over 30 patents, and he invented, among other things, laser tag!
So, he was not playing when he got down to testing the effectiveness of the variety of masks that people are using to prevent the spread of coronavirus. This is a fascinating, and of course, essential discussion because there’s so much we all still don’t know about this virus and the best ways to avoid it. In this episode, we talk about viral load vs. viral dose, the best masks, and the fancy devices out there which may or may not be effective in preventing the spread. Lee is willing to test any mask you send him for the next couple of weeks, and he generously gives his time here to talk about several fascinating topics, so without any further ado, let’s get on with the show.

Geometric Growth in Tough Times with Jay Abraham
Funnel vision, which is the polar opposite of what most people possess—tunnel vision—is the thing that distinguishes incremental growth from exponential, geometric growth. At its core, it is really about expanding your peripheral vision. It’s a way of grabbing ideas that are out there in the universe. Of course, not every idea you have will come to fruition or even should, but the openness of imagining things and exploring various outcomes is so valuable, not just in business but in life.
My guest for this episode, Jay Abraham has funnel vision. You may wonder what a marketing genius like this guy has to say about optimizing your life, and the answer is… a lot! Because he’s been such an enormous influence not only on my thinking, but also world-changers like Tony Robbins, Dr. Mercola, Dave Asprey, I’ve interviewed Jay on both this show and on my Marketing Speak podcast on multiple occasions, and in fact, this episode you’re about to hear originally aired on Marketing Speak.
So, if you’re a loyal Marketing Speak listener, you may have already heard this episode before. Even if that’s the case, I invite you to listen again. An Aligned Body Is a Healthy Body with Aaron Alexander
My guest today, Aaron Alexander, is a bodyworker and trainer who has worked with top athletes and celebrities, and everyone in between. After working with clients and spending years traveling around the world, being immersed in various cultures, he has built a practice focusing on working with his clients to utilize each moment as an opportunity to move their body, strengthen their mind, and live holistically.
In his book and his program of the same name, The Align Method, Aaron teaches people that your body is not the problem—what you are doing to your body is the problem.
We weren’t meant to sit at desks all day or hunch over our computer doing 6 hours of Zoom meetings in a row. We aren’t moving our body in the way it was intended to be moved and by doing so, we are compromising our health and vitality.
Today’s show has so much value to remind us to make time for good health and wellness practices. We talk about the work that Aaron has done in this integration of physical health and psychological wellbeing, including tips to calm your nervous system, how you generate electricity and energy by moving your body, and how to change the way we move through our lives. A Life Worth Living with Aaron Walker
My guest today, Aaron Walker, is not only a very successful business owner (having founded more than a dozen companies and authoring the book View From the Top), but also a life-long learner who has thrown himself into the world of masterminds. In fact, the camaraderie, guidance and enrichment he’s been able to get out of the different masterminds he’s been a part of for the last two decades with some really dynamic, interesting people, like Dave Ramsey, has inspired him to runs a mastermind program of his own.
Since both of us have really connected on the subject of masterminds we get into a discussion here about what is so powerful about the give and take that happens in these situations where people are there to edify, encourage, and lift each other up. We talk about the importance of being pushed and challenged because if you’re not stretching, you’re not growing. We discuss living your life with intention and controlling how much you expose yourself to information. Like Tim Ferris, Aaron and I are both on a low-information diet! This is a thought-provoking show with a lot of wisdom to impart, so without any further ado, let’s dive right in.
