Get Better Sleep by Discovering Your Chronotype with Dr. Michael Breus
In this conversation, you will hear Dr. Breus talk about the idea of chronotypes. Through his assessment tool, The Power of When Quiz, you are able to learn which category you fall into:lions, bears, wolves or dolphins. Most self-help books tell you what to do or how to do it. They don’t tell you when to do it, like The Power of When does.
After determining your chronotype, you will have a better idea of what your body’s schedule is and how your hormones function throughout the day. Dr. Breus shares how you can determine what your personal sleep need is and what to avoid to ensure that your sleep is high quality.

Life Hacks for Longevity, Health, and Perfect Genetics with Andy and Kay Walker
Looking at the different ways technology is prolonging life is really just one aspect to transhumanism. Today’s guests, Andy and Kay Walker, authors of Super You: How Technology is Revolutionizing What It Means to Be Human, dive into the multi-dimensional world of scientific advancements in biology and how those advancements are redefining all aspects of life.
From supplements like Resveratrol, to pharmaceuticals like Metformin, we have access to and an understanding of the things our body lacks in order to help it keep doing what it does naturally. We’re learning more and more about how the physical body responds to exercise.
Kay points out that regular, moderate activity is more effective than a sedentary routine with hard-hitting gym activity. The potential for cracking the code to managing our physical bodies, Kay claims, is limitless. We will, perhaps some day soon, discover our way into immortality.
It’s not all about our physical bodies, though. Andy and Kay reveal quite a bit in this interview, and even more in their book, about how technology in brain science is advancing faster than ever. Mental illness and brain diseases, such as Alzheimer’s, Autism and depression, have kept certain individuals from fully accessing their physical capabilities. Video games, Kay tells us, is just one incredible way exercising the brain is becoming more accessible. The brain is a trainable organism and scientists are continuously learning how to tap into that enormous potential.
These advancements are met along the way with push back from conservative religious groups and policy makers in the political sphere. As technology revolutionizes what it means to be human, questions naturally arise about can versus should and whether these new tools we’re acquiring will be used for evil. Andy believes there is quite a bit of fear mongering that occurs, wherein the general population is led to believe scientists are creating Frankensteins rather than learning how to cure terrible deformities or natural birth defects.
For many people, the technology to enhance life doesn’t stop at preventing or repairing damage, regrowing what has disintegrated or reducing what has grown too large. It includes melding the bionic and the biological. Imbuing synthetic organisms with technology, adding technology to our bodies or replacing limbs that have failed us, the line becomes increasingly blurred as to where we begin and technology ends.
The future is in our hands. Literally.
